What are the basic criteria that influence tent selection?Length and type of stay, number of people, type

  • Length and type of stay
Sleep in the camp or in nature? There are basically two basic scenarios for vacationing in a family tent. You can have a classic relaxing vacation just by going to the  campsite, or you can join a more active vacation where you can hike or bike throughout the day, discover interesting places nearby, and sleep where you can walk  or drive until the night.
  • Number of people
How many of us will there be?When choosing a tent, the first stage you should specify the type of camping holiday that awaits you and the length of time. You also need to consider how big your family is and how many people your tent must be big enough to accommodate. If you and your family are going to live in one place for a long time, be sure to choose a tunnel family tent with the largest living area possible. Conversely, in cases where the trip is only a few days, you can also opt for a smaller yurt when you also plan to spend most of the day traveling.

  • Type –Which type is right for our family?
  • Tunnel tent
Most of the tents are tunnel structures. Family tents are heavier after packing (6-16 kg), but the higher weight can be compensated for by comfort and convenience during the stay and, most importantly, movement in the tent. You will be delighted to be able to stand up in the tent, clearly organize your belongings or hide and lock your bike.
Tents with tunnel structures come in a variety of styles – they vary in height, size and shape, access from one or both sides, or the number of bedrooms. In a tent with two bedrooms and a living area in the middle, you can easily store your bike in one of the bedrooms.

  • Dome tent
If you decide to go on vacation for only a few days, you can choose a yurt (igloo). This is a more versatile form of tent that you can take with you, for example, on the water with friends or hiking in bad weather conditions. Yurts are lighter and more compact, but you always have only one bedroom and very limited storage space.

  • Atrium tent
It’s practical for any tent to have an apse or vestibule where you can store dirty shoes or cook. The back hall can creat by moving part of the tropical area (the shell of the tent) away from it and then securing it to the ground with nails, while using poles to create the front chamber. The apse and vestibule usually don’t have floors, which is why they’re good for storing dirty shoes and other things that just make a mess inside . The vestibule is usually larger, so in some tents it can also be used to store bicycles.
