Advantages and disadvantages of automatic camping tents

Some friends like automatic tents when camping because they are convenient to use and save time in building and storing. Automatic camping tents have both advantages and disadvantages.

① Advantages of automatic tents

The highlight of an automatic tent is its fast opening speed. As friends who have used it know, it takes at least 10 minutes to build a complex outdoor tent at once. However, an automatic tent is much simpler, with no need to look at the drawings or waste valuable playing time. It only needs to be thrown and pulled to the ground to complete the task. When it is folded up, it is operated in the opposite order of opening, and it can also be completed in three or two minutes.

② Disadvantages of automatic tents

1) No matter how good the toughness of the steel wire is, improper handling during retraction can also lead to deformation of the steel wire, which not only affects the appearance and shape, but also easily leads to wire breakage. As long as there is a problem, it cannot be used anymore. If this happens, camping becomes “camping”.

2) Because this type of tent is already structurally constructed, it takes up more space to store. Due to the material of the tent and the automatic opening system, it can be quite bulky after storage, usually weighing 3-6 kilograms. It doesn’t sound heavy, but camping requires a lot of other equipment, and every kilogram is important.

3) Professional tents used by outdoor camping enthusiasts are mostly manual tents, as the rainproof coefficient of automatic tents is relatively low.

In summary, automatic tents are more convenient, but compared to manual tents, there are still many drawbacks. If you are playing in a park or community, automatic tents are still a very good choice. They can be opened and used, saving time and effort. Even if they break down, it doesn’t matter, anyway, they are close to home. However, it is not recommended to use outdoor hiking or camping in other places.
